It’s been a successful July for Ian Lougher as he once again dominated proceedings for the third race meeting this month.
In front of the large crowd of sun-kissed spectators, Lougher was virtually unstoppable at the annual Aberdare Park National Road Races.
The 0.9 mile Aberdare Park circuit is a favourite with riders and spectators alike and Lougher signalled his intentions on Race Day 1 by winning four 125cc races and three 250cc events on the Barnes /Jackson machines. The Team Blackhorse Yamaha R6 Supersport bike was also given two outings, each with the inevitable conclusion, to bring the day’s tally to nine wins.
Sunday again saw hot and sunny conditions prevail as Ian once more scorched round the parkland circuit, sweeping to victory in another seven races in the same aforementioned classes to bring the weekend’s tally to 16 wins with the added bonus of the fastest lap of the meeting on the Barnes/Jackson 250.
So, a highly successful meeting for the Welshman which saw him take the Welsh King of the Singles title and the Supersport Park Challenge.
